4 Months!!

I'm pretty sure that sometime in my past, before I got pregnant and gave birth to the *most perfect baby boy*, I stated that I would never let MY blog be completely about my child (or make statements like the one *above*).  Well, times have changed my friends, and so have I.  I'm afraid I'm in a bit of a sappy mood this morning, but I realize now that once you have a child, nothing else in the world seems as important as that precious little person.  Plus, this is my blog, so if you don't want to read about my baby, no sweat! :)  (And for all you non-moms out there, trust me, I get it.)

That being said, Wyatt was 4 months on Wednesday.  FOUR. MONTHS.  What?!?  I know 4 months doesn't sound like a lot, but I know that 4 years is going to seem to go by just as quick, and then he'll be a teenager, and then he'll graduate high school and go off to college and make new friends and get a great education and never call me and I'll be sitting here in 18 years reading this post and laughing at my 28 year old self who thought 4 months was a big deal.  But for me, in this moment right now, it is.  (And that was a really long, really dreadful run-on sentence.)

We go in next week for his 4 month check-up and his 4 month shots (I'm already dreading that part), so I'll update later with his official "stats".  In the meantime, here are a few slighly fuzzy iPhone pictures of our 4 month old little man:

Funny side story: About 5 seconds after I took this last picture, he projectile vomited all over his outfit, the chair, and the floor.  (And there's another thing I swore I'd never blog about.  I'm sure eating my words today...)  Good thing I got a couple smiley pictures in beforehand! :)

Not the hairdryer!!

This will be a very quick & funny (well I think it's funny) post.  2 in one week.  AMAZING.

A lot of mornings I put Wyatt in his bouncy seat while I get ready, and everytime he gets mad when I get out the hairdryer.  And I mean, he despises it.  Like, he GLARES at it.  I may have scarred him for life because the first couple times I got it out, I thought he would like a little wave of heat, so I pointed at it him for a few seconds (from like 7 feet away, don't worry) and instantly got a frowny-face that turned into a scream.  Lesson learned.

So this morning, when I stood back up after flipping my hair over to dry it, this is what he was doing:

And as soon as the hairdryer shut off, his hands came right back down.  Point taken, son.

In other news, aren't his footie pajamas so cute?  I think footie pajamas may be my most favorite baby clothing item out there.  Or maybe baby shoes.  Or baby hats.

Have a good weekend!

Chomp, Chomp!!

Well, I've resigned myself to the fact that one or two updates a month is about all I'm going to have time for right now, so I'm pretty proud that I'm posting some pictures from Halloween only 9 days after the actual day!  In my defense, I got a nasty virus/cold that knocked me out for about 5 days last week, which was absolutely the last thing I needed.  On a positive note, it did allow me snatch a few hours of sleep here & there, but that is still pretty difficult to do when you're nursing.  (Apparently babies don't stop eating when their mommy is sick...)

And now, without further ado, here are some pictures from Wyatt's first Halloween:

Wyatt was a baby shark, so obviously Sam and I were the ocean. Duh.  This is also the only family picture we got because I felt horrible that night and ended up having 103 fever by the time we got home.

Yeah, we used some props for his Halloween "photo shoot"...

As you can see, he's getting really good at grabbing things and taking them straight to his mouth.

A family picture on the porch swing (we cheated & took this a few days ago when I felt a little better).

And here's a sneak peek of one of the pictures from Wyatt's 3 month photo shoot a few weeks ago with Mandy Stansberry:

It's crazy to think that a year ago from right now I had just found out I was pregnant, and now I have a 3 1/2 month old sweet baby boy.  Time sure is flying by!
